Hi There!

I’m Hannah Jo, and I believe every person—kids, teens, and adults alike—comes into therapy with their own unique strengths, hopes, and stories. My goal is to create a space where you and your child feel comfortable, understood, and honored exactly where you are.

I work with a wide range of clients but focus primarily with children and youth navigating anxiety, depression, grief, big life changes, and tough family situations. I also support kids who have experienced childhood neglect or time in foster care, sexual abuse, or have a caregiver or important person who is incarcerated. I have a soft spot for siblings of children with special needs or complex medical conditions.

My approach is never one-size-fits-all. I use a variety of therapeutic modalities and tailor each session to fit your child’s personality, needs, and story—whether they’re talkative, shy, creative, funny, or still figuring themselves out.

Before joining the Children’s Home, I worked in a variety of different settings, including a federal prison, psychiatric hospitals, hospice care, and with individuals with special needs. These experiences have shaped the way I show up in the therapy room: grounded, patient, and ready to meet families with compassion.

Outside of work, you’ll usually find me paddle boarding, crocheting, going to rodeos, or checking out local coffee shops. I’m a lifelong Idaho native and graduated from Boise State University with my Bachelor’s in Social Work and from Northwest Nazarene University with my Master’s in Social Work.

I look forward to getting to know your child and being a supportive part of their journey.
