Hi there!
I feel so grateful to be working with the incredible team here at Children’s Home Counseling Services! My approach is warm, strengths-based, and person-centered. I am honored to walk side-by-side with youth and their families as they grow and discover the strengths within themselves. Together, we can create a shame free and loving space where you feel safe to show up as your full self and explore feelings including insecurity, fear, and confusion, as well as happiness, excitement, and pride. Growth is rarely linear, and I am ready to go at your pace.
I completed my Master of Social Work through Ohio State University, though I am a life-long Treasure Valley local. My background is in elementary education, which was the focus of my bachelor’s degree earned in 2015 from University of Idaho, as well as my Master of Education in 2019 from Northwest Nazarene University. My years in the classroom allowed me to gain a deeper understanding of child development and the impact of genuine human connection on the wellbeing of young people, families, and myself.
Outside of my work here at CHCS, I am most likely playing with my two goofy little rescue dogs (Blue and Darby), letting my cat (Charlie) believe he is the prince of the world, camping in the summer or at Bogus in the winter with my wife, laughing with family and friends, or trying out new art projects.
